PREMIER | Rossy – Roses

By Kieran Webber

Rossy is a singer/songwriter, producer and director from Portland, Oregon now residing in San Diego, California. The multi-talented artist began his career at the University of Arizona performing at college parties and touring on the weekends. Shortly after building a buzz on campus, Rossy teamed up with rapper C.Young to create the duo now known as V1BE. Their early singles ‘Move Slow’ and ‘Touch The Stars’ helped to expose their sound across the college circuit.

After graduation, V1BE’s three studio projects were premiered on over 100 major music publications including Complex Magazine, Hypetrak, Pigeons and Planes, Good Music All Day and more – all while catching the attention of popular celebrities Sway Calloway and Mac Miller.

In 2016 you can expect to hear more of Rossy as he plans to release his solo catalogue, which listeners can anticipate to be a fusion of romantic melodies and live production.

Rossy’s acoustic cover of The Chainsmokers ‘Roses’ is a fresh take on the electric original, a stripped back simplified version that boasts quality vocals and the introduction of brass creates a new and unique soundscape. ‘Roses’ may be a cover song but Rossy has made it very much his own.

The video that accompanies the release of the track sees Rossy walking through Mission Beach boasting that West Coast life, the uplifting video accompanies the positive vibe that is portrayed in the track.
