New Music | Basement Revolver – Johnny

By Kieran Webber

Basement Revolver are a three-piece band from Hamilton, Ontario in Canada who bring a delicious platter of indie pop to the table, dig in chaps and chapettes because it is tasty.

They introduce to us today their latest song ‘Johnny’ a beautifully melancholy number that as explained by lead singer Chrisy Hurn “My attempt to rationalize difficulties with my past partner and all the heartache and angst that comes from having a really bad time.”

Sometimes the worst people can inspire the greatest things in us, as I am sure a lot of us know that heartbreak can release a certain type of creativity and influence whether it be a piece of art or in this case a song.

Johnny, wherever you are I hope you have heard this song because you may have been an utter knob but look at what your negativity gave us!
