Music | News | Cambridge Folk Festival Announces The Den Line Up & Club Tent Showcases

Having started in 1965 the 14,000 capacity festival has acclaim due to combination of internationally renowned headline artists and for their support of young and emerging talent.

It is also popular for its unique parkland setting, great facilities and family friendliness, the Festival offers something for everyone with four covered stages, street theatre, music workshops and sessions, raucous ceilidhs, open stages, a youth area, internet café, kids’ ceilidh, storytelling, free creche, paddling pool and playground and real ale bars.

The announcement of the lineup for The Den and Club Tent Showcase only add excitement to the already bursting lineup, but before we tell you who is playing let us explain what each of these venues bring to the table each year at Cambridge Folk Festival.


Club Tent Showcase

Each year the Festival selects five showcase artists to appear in the Club Tent, which it thinks will go on to great things in the future, such as previous picks Newton Faulkner, Seth Lakeman and The Staves.

This year it plays host to:

The Den

The Den is the Festival’s Emerging Talent Stage, providing a platform for up and coming artists and has previously seen debuts from the likes of Jake Bugg and Hudson Taylor.

This year you can expect to see:
