Song Of The Week | Vulgarians – Hands Around The Waste

By Kieran Webber

This weeks SOTW comes from the Wytches approved post-punk outfit Vulgarians, their latest release and first single ‘Hands Around The Waste’ taken from their forthcoming ‘Almost Extinct, Almost True’ EP, set for release May 5th. The new EP was recorded with Hookworms‘ MJ (also behind Drenge, Eagulls & Pulled Apart By Horses records), after he offered up both his production skills & Suburban Home studio following a chance encounter with the band.

‘Hands Around The Waste’ (inspired by a strange encounter with a taxi driver) is a howling post-punk track oozing in attitude and angst, with its snarling vocals and infectious riff it was a no brainer to as why it’s our SOTW.
