Beabadoobee returns with wholesome love ballad ‘Glue Song’

It’s Valentine’s season, the season of love, and love songs. Indie-artist Beabadoobee is known for her sad and intimate lyrics, but has come to us now with a wholesome love ballad, ‘Glue Song‘.

Beabadoobee said she wrote the song while travelling Asia and Australia and thinking about her new relationship. The song perfectly relays those first feelings of excitement and giddiness one feels early on in new relationships (Never thought I’d find you / but you’re here and so I love you, she sings).

“For the first time this is just me being really happy,” Beabadoobee says about the track. “I’m in a really positive place for the first time in a long time and feeling love.”

The music video reads as a love letter to Beabadoobee’s hometown Iloilo in the Philippines, where it was filmed, but the listener can’t help but wish the song was about them. Beabadoobee has always been able to take the manic pixie dream girl trope and make it her own – you can’t help but fall in love with her.

The new release comes ahead of her March headline European tour and shows across the US, supporting Taylor Swift on her forthcoming ‘The Eras’ stadium tour.
