Boardmasters Festival 2021 line-up is here and features headliners Foals, Gorillaz, and Jorja Smith.
After much anticipation, the Boardmasters team have unveiled their 2021 line-up, and it’s a heck of a comeback. If you’re not aware, Boardmasters has faced 2 years of cancellations, one for hurricane-force winds and the second due to the pandemic.
However, they have returned triumphantly with their first wave announcement that features over 100 artists (with more to be announced). Headliners Foals, Gorrilaz, and Jorja Smith will be joined by Jade Bird, Allah-Las, Sam Fender, The Big Moon, and many more. It’s an exciting and incredibly varied line-up that has us incredibly excited for the festival that will run between 11th-15th August.
In addition to this, the surf competition that is held at Fistral Beach will also be going ahead and will feature the cream of British surfing and beyond, all battling out for the winning title.
Speaking on the festival Boardmasters organiser and co-founder Andrew Topham said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the first wave of artists for this year’s Boardmasters, including three world-class headliners Foals, Gorillaz and Jorja Smith. On behalf of the entire Boardmasters team, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our fans, artists, suppliers, the local community in Cornwall, and everyone who is involved in making this festival happen.” Adding, “Thank you for sticking with us over these past two years, your continued support has been truly overwhelming, and quite simply, we couldn’t do it without you. Roll on August, we can’t wait to see you all this summer.”
