Braids Announce fifth studio album ‘Euphoric Recall’ and share new single ‘Evolution’
Braids new album ‘Euphoric Recall’ is set to be released on 28th April via Secret City Records. To tease us they have released a new single ‘Evolution’.
Braids have been a collective group since 2007 and have established themselves in recent years, playing at Glastonbury and SXSW.
Track number three on the album comes with soft and angelic vocals from lead singer and guitarist, Raphaelle Standell-Preston that really pull you into this song. The lyrics only being six lines of text doesn’t change the level of intimacy this song offers. It doesn’t need multiple verses to build a reminiscent song on love. The story is told through the projection of Raphaelle’s vocals and the euphonious bliss of Austin Tufts and Taylor Smith on drums and bass.
“Patience like evolution evolving into love” says it all, waiting for the right person no matter how long that takes so the relationship can flourish.
‘Retriever’ is the only other song available to listen to on this album. With it being nine minutes long you get a taste of their experimental alternative ensemble and what is to come from ‘Euphoric Recall’, their fifth studio album.
