Nottingham indie upcomers Divorce announce their new EP, set for release on 17th November, and share confident new single ‘Scratch Your Metal’

Divorce is a name you might be starting to hear more of. After a series of buzzy festival appearances and a successful EP at the end of last year, the band have now announced their next move.

The ‘Heady Metal’ EP will hit you on 17th November. The band promise a close collaboration between their two songwriters, Tiger Cohen-Towell and Felix Mackenzie-Barrow with an intense focus on insecurity, identity, and the pressures and expectations of growing in popularity.

The first taste of this new project comes in the form of Scratch Your Metal‘, an ambitious and beautiful new single. Held together by a tight rhythm section, the track unfolds patiently, revealing its complex layers of harmony, sound and texture.

The joint lead vocals work perfectly together in unison just as well as they do in harmony, combining into one powerful voice. The instrumentation is impeccably produced, with a warm, classic sound to the guitars and an unassuming but essential drum performance.

The new EP ‘Heady Metal’ is out on 17th November via Gravity/EMI.
