DOJA CAT HAS RELEASED HER NEW SINGLE ‘VEGAS’, TAKEN FROM THE FORTHCOMING ELVIS ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Today, Grammy award winning pop artist Doja Cat has released her new single Vegas, taken from the forthcoming ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, via RCA Records. The soundtrack will include work from Elvis’ career, spanning the 1950s, 60s and 70s, while also celebrating and appreciating the long-lasting influence that he continues to exert on popular music today.

The track cleverly incorporates Presley’s classic hit Hound Dog whilst remaining true to Doja Cat’s renowned sound, which merges pop, R&B and hip-hop. It was heard by Doja Cat fans for the first time during her highly praised Coachella set, back in April of this year. During the performance of the single, acclaimed Gospel artist Shonka, who will play Big Mama Thornton in the film as well as featuring on the upcoming soundtrack, made an appearance on stage.

The full soundtrack will be unveiled on June 24th, on the same date as Oscar-nominated filmmaker Baz Luhrmann’s film ELVIS will be released. The film will explore the life and music of Elvis Presley, featuring a star-studded cast including Austin Butler as Presley himself and Tom Hanks as Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
