After the unexpected (and delightfully welcomed) drop of their latest single ‘My Town’, featuring Joe Talbot of IDLES, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes have treated us again with the announcement of their heavily anticipated new album ‘Sticky’.
To accompany the announcement, the band have released the title track as the second teaser of the album. A social commentary tale of a night-out gone beautifully awry, the track talks on drunken antics and waking up without a clue in the world.
“‘Sticky’ is about that moment where you’re drunk at a bus stop at 3AM. You know there are no more buses, but you sit there anyway because you’re too fucked to figure out your options. Your kebab is on the floor, there’s a Stella in your pocket, and you’re woken up by a dirty little fox eating your shoes.” – Carter
Set to be released October 15th of this year, the autumn drop will be the band’s fourth full-length album and is set to be the best one yet. The progressive rock masters have a certain knack for releasing spine-tingling punk-infused numbers for all head-bangers and music lovers alike. After catching their surprise set at Leeds Festival 2018, it’s safe to say that I’m a firm fan (catch me moshing to ‘I Hate You’ at a gig near you).
