Gawn was birthed by Zach Koenig, who at the end of 2018 gathered all his equipment and stuffed it into a tiny practise space. Zach would head there everyday after work, spending hours in the cramped workspace perfecting his lo-fi garage rock sound.
Gawn was then taken out to the masses, playing in house parties and even opening for Ringo Death Star and Hater.
Recently the band shared the third single ‘No Light’ from their forthcoming debut ‘Thee Essence Ov Everything’.
‘No ‘Light’ is a fuzzed out garage rock anthem, reminiscent of early Wavves and The Black Lips.
