Last year we were lucky enough to be invited to cover what was advertised as the ‘Most rambunctious Garden Féte’ and to say it didn’t disappoint would be an understatement. The manor house and gardens of Scorrier House were turned into a wonderful array of tents, food stalls and vintage markets. Across the weekend we were treated to not just a brilliant collection of music but also camel racing, gin gardens and silent discos.

It was a dashing debut that we instantly fell in love with, we are excited to cover it again for 2018. The lineup this year is looking likely to have something for everyone. But here are 5 artists we cannot wait to see at this years Great Estate Festival.

Wolf Note

For those local to Cornwall you would of no doubt seen Wolf Note tearing up the stage. These guys are an absolute force to be reckoned with, carrying a sound that is unrelenting and extremely loud. The garage/grunge rock duo will come out kicking for their set at The Great Estate Festival, adding an element of rock ‘n’ roll that is needed at this rambunctious party.

Hedluv & Passman

Another Cornish talent that is sure to entertain and fill the festival with laughter. These to Cornish chaps have blended the hip-hop sensibilities with comedy and added a dash Cornish spirit. Prepare to have your sides split by Cornwall’s premiere CASIO keyboard wielding, rap duo.

Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show

Last year Craig Charles blew our minds with his eclectic set of funk and soul tracks. Within the first song he has the whole festival dancing and grooving away, to call him a professional is an understatement. You are guaranteed a good time with Craig and get to share a moment with someone who genuinley loves music. Expect an amazing stage presence, groove infused tunes and good times!

Albert Jones

Albert Jones is not your stereotypical singer-songwriter and is constantly shifting through the genres, although sits comfortably in folk. His latest single ‘La Nuit’ caught the attention of the likes of Dermot O’ Leary and received play time on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6.

His warm vocals and brooding sounds are sure to impress and delight at this years Great Estate and we cannot wait to see him live.

If I Were King

Last year If I Were King closed the Great Estate Festival and we are pumped to hear that they will be returning again for 2018. Their use of electronic, ambient post-rock sounds is nothing short of mesmerising. We’re looking forward to hearing their interesting and unique collection of slow building tangents, they are not to be missed.
