Bristol’s rock n roll stars IDLES return with anthemic new single ‘Dancer’ featuring LCD Soundsystem

After a spot of teasing from the band in the form of TANGK posters popping up across the country (as well as a special TANGK show in London) the band have finally unveiled their new single ‘Dancer’.

‘Dancer’ is driven forward with a classic IDLES sounding bass line that runs steadily throughout the track, calling the listener to attention. Joe Talbots biting vocals push through with its grating sound, reminding us of the visceral aura that he creates with his vocals. Unlike their previous singles from the 2021 album ‘Crawler’, we see a more joyous IDLES, bringing back their more groove infused sound, remisncent of ‘Ultra Mono’ or ‘Joy As An Act Of Resistance’ era. It’s an exciting return for the band and as always they come when people need them most, just as the drab and dreariness of winter looms they release a foot-stomping, hip swinging track.

In addition to the new music we also got the announcement of the new album ‘TANGK’, out February 16th via Partisan Records. You can pre-order the album here with the first 2000 orders receiving an exclusive signed print. As always with IDLES there are bundles galore with multiple variations of the vinyl.
