The day festival that is hosted by Council Complaints, Cloud 9 Events & The Honey Feminist Collective Falmouth is set to bring a variety of workshops, DJ’s and live bands to Falmouth Saturday 6th April. Starting at 2pm the day festival is specifically focused on equality in music, collaborations with local businesses and independent brands through the implementation of a cross cultural event. The festival should provide a platform for young artists from Cornwall and the rest of the UK to showcase their talent, opening the Falmouth audience to a wider creative scene.
Not only will this festival act as a brilliant showcase for creativity in Cornwall and the UK it will also be a unique opportunity to help those who need it most. As the event will raise awareness and money for Refugee Women’s Centre, an organization committed to supporting women, families and children in-and around Grande Synthe, Dunkirk and Calais.
Entrance to the festival will be based on a ‘Pay What You Decide’ (PWYD) system, so what you feel the festival is worth (recommended payment is a minimum of £5.00). For the amount of music, arts and good times you are getting this is an incredibly low price.
You can expect music from Gork, Soot Sprite, Luke Moss, Horses On The Beach, B Town, The Shuks, Doghouse Outhouse, Lipstick ‘n Lighters, Oof and much more to be announced soon.
