Jackson Reed may just be a time traveller. He has burst into our ears from another time, a time where Jefferson Airplane and Country Joe and The Fish ruled the airwaves. Yet although he draws influence from the 60’s Reed’s music is fresh and new.
His latest single ‘Generation Vietnam’ explained by Reed as a “song about USA’s military conscription in the 1960’s and imaging men my age being chosen randomly for the Vietnam War.” Although the track has a narrative of something heavy but it is glazed in nonchalant vibes, similar to the 60s in many ways.
