By Kieran Webber
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have just dropped the new single ‘Honey’. The single premiered yesterday at midnight and was accompanied by a video (below). The visuals were directed, edited and shot by John Angus Stewart and produced by Max Coles. The song was recorded and mixed by Mackenzie and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Joe Carra.

Speaking about the video Stu MacKenzie tweeted “Shot at sunset during the apocalypse with a reeeeeeal long lens,” he continues “I wrote this song a couple of years ago. It’s nice to have it out in the world.”
‘Honey’ is takes the tempo down about 11 notches in comparison with previous album ‘Infest The Rats Nest’. It’s a psych-folk adventure that is covered in whirring sitar, similar to sounds of 2017’s ‘Flying Microtonal Banana’.
