Casey are an emotionally invested group. The five-piece from South Wales are preparing for the release of their forthcoming first LP ‘Love Is Not Enough’ (Available September 23rd via Hassle Records) – an introspective perception of failed relationships and their negatively enveloping nature – and in the process have released a statement from it in new single ‘Haze’.
Coalescing the progression from sadness to aggression found in the stages of dealing with the emptiness of a break-up – Casey intelligently course through fragile admittance and incensed exasperation. ‘Haze’ is confidently delivered, from each atmospheric hook to the flooding rhythms that control it – it’s typical melodic hardcore, but so rawly personal to initiate something of interest.
Identifiably familiar whilst offering something distinctive, Casey differentiate by being themselves.
