Afonso is an artist of exceptional talent. Blending jazz, soul and bedroom pop into one beautiful package. Vocally Afonso has similarities to artists such as Tom Misch and Frank Ocean, yet sonically this is his explorative sound. It’s retrospective yet wonderfully fresh.
The Portuguese (via London) artist has recently dropped his latest single ‘Bloom’, which captures his neo-soul sensibilities wonderfully. It’s an introspective track that reflects on the early stages of a relationship.
Afonso‘s soft, alluring vocals breeze through the warm soundscape. Creating a vivid yet calming aura. It’s really wonderful listening, particularly in these hot summer days.
