Bristol indie-pop newcomers Hunny Buzz return with yet another sunny single ahead of the release of their new EP

HUNNY BUZZ are going from strength to strength. With only a few singles under their belt, their reputation as one of the best indie bands in Bristol is only growing.

Now, with new single ‘Now I can get over you’, they’re continuing their streak. The track is a summery laid-back breakup tune, both bittersweet and liberating. As the song progresses, the bass ramps up the tension while the drums become progressively more bubbly.

As always, vocalist Lydia Read holds the track together with ease. Her vocals are both poppy and emotional, channelling the confidence of artists like Billy Nomates. The lyrics are ones of acceptance and closure: “It’s good to know you’re doing well and you’ve got a new job too / And I’m happy if you are and you seem to be / Now I can get over you”.

Joining the tight discography alongside ‘Girlfriend In The Band’ and ‘Short Black Skirt’, this one here is yet another seriously catchy tune.

The new EP ‘Pacific Wax’ is out later this year.
