In the U.K we all aim towards the summer as a time of positivity. No matter what, we can always look forward to sunny days, sea swims, days in beer gardens and festivals. It’s our own little reward that we all deserve after enduring the winter (and the current political sphere).
However, due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns this wasn’t possible this year. 2020’s summer was put on hold.
In light of this the London indie band Latenight Honeymoon have released the new single ‘Afterglow’, which is “An ode to British Summertime 2020 that was meant to be.”
‘Afterglow’ is a shimmering release that is filled with jangly guitars, thumping percussion and soft vocals. It’s an anthemic indie ballad that offers a moments hope in these dark and confusing times.
