In a time of such political confusion and strife artists such as the Undercover Hippy are going to become a more common thing, not only because of their poignent song writing but because of their ability to make people come together and be happy. The balance between seriousness and cheerfulness is what makes the Undercover Hippy‘ music so infectious, it is music with a message that you can dance too.
Their show at the Watering Hole one of pure enjoyment, their interaction with the audience was fantastic and sincere and as a band their performance was real tight, not a single note was out of tune. Across their set they played a variety of new and old music with the most notable songs being ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘UKIP Telling Me’, which naturally made the crowd go wild.
Fans of the Undercover Hippy will be aware of the politically charged reggae-dub that Billy and his band are capable of and their show at the Watering Hole was no exception, the band lit up the venue with their tongue-in-cheek yet poignent music.
Undercover Hippy also has a new album ‘Truth & Fiction’ that will be available May 20th.
