Mac Demarco has managed to capture the soul and softness of the 60’s and seventies and blended it with a modern take on the singer songwriter. However, he doesn’t float in the same flotsam as others floating in this genre, in some respect he is kind of an anti-singer songwriter. It’s no secret that the artist doesn’t take himself very seriously and his social media channels are constant proof of this, however even though his goofy persona shines through, his music is layered in beauty of a mature nature. In fact, i would argue that he is one of the most talented songwriters around at the moment.

Along with his summer festival slots Mac will also be touring around the UK with shows at the London Coronet on the 17th, 18th and 19th as well as a headline show at Bristol’s o2 Academy on the 26th November.
