The duo that formes Magic Johnson met in a bar back in 2012. Since then the pair (comprised of Matt Liebermann and Michael Nicastro) have harnessed their indie-synth pop sound and created a multitude of earworms.
The most recent of tracks ‘Surfin’ is a bombastic release that blends multiple soundscapes. Ethereal vocals take lead whilst a variety if synths, keys and subtle guitar hang in the backdrop. It’s a slightly uneasy track but it has a strange lure to it. It continues the bands drive to create music that is wildly experimental. There are few things in this world that sound so unique.
