Maximo Park return triumphantly with new single ‘Great Art & Announce Singular Tour across UK
Maximo Park are known for their incredible back catalogue of indie hits and today, they’ve added one more to that pile with ‘Great Art’. In addition to the new single the band have announced they will be going on tour across the UK during September & October 2022. The tour, aptly names the ‘Singular’ tour will be a jukebox experience, seeing the band exclusively play their singles.
This will be a unique chance to see the band tear through their most popular hits from the past 18 years, including ‘Apply Some Pressure’, ‘Girls Who Play Guitars’, and ‘Books From Boxes’.
Their latest single ‘Great Art’, which is their first release since the critically acclaimed 2021 album ‘Nature Always Wins’, continues the bands observant lyricism and infectious hooks. As is always present with their music there is a political undertone, this time directed towards the current Conservative Government. It tackles the expression, that a lot of us use during political strife, “at least we’ll get some great art out of it”. This song tackles that expression in a masterful way, creating yet another scathing arrow in their quiver.
