Murman return with belting new single ‘Baptism’ & announce mini-tour around France

Murman are a rising force in the UK right now, having played various shows across London and Brighton, they’ve come out ready to take 2022 by the perviable goolies. In addition to a string of single releases, including their latest offering ‘Baptism’, the band will also be playing as much as possible, including a short tour across France late March. This is just the beginning for what is going to be a very busy and successful year for the band, so keep your eyes peeled.

Their latest single ‘Baptism’ is a anthemic slice of rock n roll, blending the sounds of Talking Heads and Joy Division into one beautiful cake. The track is driven forward by the thunderous percussion of Abbi Knell and David Byrne inspired vocals of David Murdoch, creating an unforgettable sound. All the while swirling guitar that builds throughout is delivered with masterful ability by Dom Corapi. It’s a sensational release that is daringly infectious, not to mention a true belter live.

Speaking on the track Murman explain: “We’ve played Baptism live for quite a while now, and the single is always our live opener as we feel it really captures the intensity and vibrancy of our sound as a band. We’re really excited to get the song online and share it with as many people as possible.”
