Black Surf have an unusual backstory. They formed in 2014 through the wonders of FaceTime and Dropbox, and the fruits of their exchanges between Leeds, UK and Sydney, Australia have come to form their debut EP, ‘Let’s Pretend It’s Summer’, recorded at Greenmount Studios (The Cribs, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Vaccines). The EP is set for release August 26th via Cowboy Records.

Although from different parts of the world, they have one clear sound, and it’s a fuzzed-out, adrenaline-filled shot that blasts its way into action from the first chord. The band has showcased a shining example of their infectious sound with their latest single, ‘Sink’, a cascading burst of noise from start to finish.
