London quartet Flamingods are back with their first new music since 2019, the dreamy and funky ‘Dreams (On The Strip)

The track’s chorus features guest vocals from Girl Ray’s Poppy Hankin and her partner Joanie Eaton and was recorded in Atlanta with Grammy award-winning producer Ben H. Allen. Featuring heavy synthesisers, the band’s signature psychedelia sound is at the forefront of their new track. Moving to the more psychedelic and electronica spectrum of their sound, their latest song is less rock and more funk.

A groove-filled track, the band’s blend of Middle Eastern, South Asian, West African and British music weaves throughout and is what makes their sound so unique. The dreamy chorus is reminiscent of hazy afternoons and long drives, with Poppy and Joanie’s vocals adding emphasis to the euphoric verses.

The band have announced a headline UK Tour kicking off in November with dates in Margate, Cambridge London, Birmingham and Sheffield.
