Rising Liverpool indie-pop singer Jamie Wooding explores the emotion of a relationship coming to an end: what’s not to love?

Liverpool’s very own Jamie Wooding is known for indie-pop bangers since bursting onto the scene in 2020, and here he is with another one. ‘Someday’ is one track that helps show music can help even in the darkest of times. A relationship coming to an end is not easy to write about, but Wooding has done it with perfection.

The talented artist has grown his fanbase through stunning live performances, but with new offerings such as this one, it’s clear to see why he’s an artist to keep an eye on. With his own high-quality production and writing, it shows how indie-pop sensibilities, a hint of country and honest lyricism can create a real emotional rollercoaster.

Speaking on ‘Someday’, Jamie commented: “‘Someday’ is a song I started writing at the back end of 2021 when a relationship I was in came to an end. It was a sudden ending and didn’t make a lot of sense to me, I guess the only way I could decompress on the situation was to write about it. The opening line in the first verse tells a lot in a short space of time.”

You can appreciate not only the music, but how naturally songwriting comes to the young musician.
