Bristol upstarts Oslo Twins return with a new single after their signing to Fascination Street Records and news of their debut EP

Oslo Twins are a breath of fresh air: a sleek merge of melancholic synth-pop with flecks of their hometown trip-hop roots. Recently signed to Fascination Street Records, the band have since announced their debut EP – ‘Back To Nothing’ – out on July 28th.

Now the band have shared the second offering from the upcoming project, ‘Miss Yesterday’. Written remotely during early lockdown, the track has been brought to life by production heavyweight Ali Chant (Yard Act, Sorry, Dry Cleaning), who also co-founded Fascination Street Records in collaboration with Factory Studios.

‘Miss Yesterday’ is an eighties-leaning indie pop cut, dreamy textures and reverb-soaked vocals a modern nod to their influences, whilst also carving a signature sound. Elements of The Cure and Slowdive shine through on this new single, with the glistening synthesisers and vocalist Claudia Vulliamy bringing ethereal qualities to the track. Vulliamy’s vocals are striking and effortless, her velvet-smooth timbre the perfect compliment to the pensive and heavenly instrumental.

Oslo Twins are delivering a fresh lens on the genre, their vintage influences gaining a modern twist, wrapped up with a stunning sheen and polish. The band’s dedication to their craft, as well as their electric live performances, will definitely see them moving up the ranks as the year passes, and their debut EP is sure to turn some heads.

The band have also been shortlisted for the 2023 edition of Green Man Rising.

The debut EP ‘Back To Nothing’ is out on 28th July via Fascination Street Records.
