Irish pop singer/songwriter CMAT drops a new single as well as news of her second album, ‘Crazymad, For Me’ and a UK Tour

You might know CMAT from her belter of a tune ‘I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Baby!’, her fresh mix of country, pop and indie on debut album, ‘If My Wife New I’d Be Dead’ or her seriously fun festival appearances.

Now, after dropping two new singles, CMAT has announced her second album ‘Crazymad, For Me’ and a headline UK/Ireland tour. The album promises to be “an abstract break-up album – about what happens when you are still angry about something that happened 10 years ago”.

Accompanying this announcement is new single ‘Have Fun!’. The track is made up of wonky pianos, simple drums and catchy vocals. These pianos playfully make up the main riff of the tune, with a reserved but groovy bassline keeping things moving.

CMAT’s vocals are as good as ever; she really is a fantastic pop star. Her lyrics are sarcastic, witty and powerful: “I gave you all I had because I believed in this / Silly bitch, you should’ve spent it on yourself”.

CMAT’s live shows are energetic, fun and one of the best times you can have at a gig. Have a look below at where you can catch her.
