Bristol punk band Heavy Lungs announce their long-awaited debut album, ‘All Gas No Brakes’, alongside a video for the title track

After several years of noisy EPs and brutally entertaining gigs, Heavy Lungs have built a real reputation for themselves in Bristol’s thriving punk scene. Now, finally, we are set to hear the first full length release from the band.

‘All Gas No Brakes’ is set to be released on 29th September via Alcopop! Records. According to the band, it promises to be “a dancer and a prancer, and hopefully it’s a life enhancer.” Following on from single ‘Dancing Man’, a manic, repetitive and seriously fun barrage, the title track ‘All Gas No Brakes’, has now been released into the wild.

Alongside a video directed by Holding Hands With Horses, the track is a slow-moving, heavy footed punk banger. Once again, Heavy Lungs perfectly balance fun and heaviness, with a track that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still goes hard.

The conclusion of the track explodes into guitar solos and distorted bass, with frontman Danny Nedelko’s calls of “all gas no brakes” confident and disturbing.

Debut album ‘All Gas No Brakes is out on 29th September via Alcopop! Records.
