The South-London band Pushpin describe their latest single ‘Folds’ as “post-punk meets MIKA”, there really isn’t any better way to put it.

The track unfolds with a sharp yet flamboyant bass that lays a path for the high pitched and playful vocals. The song is an exuberant display of positivity, particularly within the lyrics, which are made up of a string of uplifting mantras. It’s an inventive sound that carries similarities to Yard Acts, Courting and Shame yet it’s sideways look at the post-punk genre mixed with the oozing positivity make it a fresh listen.

The band are aiming to release four more singles throughout 2021, the next one ‘Apples’ dropping in March.
