Sometimes the best things comes in pairs, and one said pair is the rock n roll duo of Rival Karma. The London duo molds together hard hitting percussion with dirty, scuzzy riffs, both relenting in energy. It’s an ear shattering sound that demands to be cranked up to 11. Rival Karma has had an illustrious career that has taken them across Europe and the West Coast of the US. Not to mention being added to Spotify editorial playlists such as Volume and All New Rock.
Now the band return with their latest single ‘Jesus Is From Chico’, a thunderous release that comes crashing down with the power of Thor himself. Throughout the track you can hear the influences of bands such as Queens Of The Stone Age, The Black Keys, and more. However, this is very much Rival Karma‘s track, as their thumping percusion and hip-shaking swagger is imprinted throughout.
The track details their experience on the road as a touring band, talking about the positives and negatives of leaving a bit of your soul on stage each time. It’s also a tale of a man named Jesus who helped them during their time touring the West Coast of America.
‘Jesus Is From Chico’ is taken from the bands forthcoming EP ‘Powerduism’, which will be available later this year. Be sure to get your ears around it, based off their back catalogue and recent releases it’s going to be a real hurricane of an EP.
