Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have returned with news of their third LP and shared lead single ‘The Way It Shatters’
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, commonly abbreviated to Rolling Blackouts C.F., are a Melbourne based indie rock band who formed in 2013. Rolling Blackouts C.F. have just announced that their third album ‘Endless Rooms’ will be released on 6th of May via Sub Pop. ‘Endless Rooms’ is anything but a lockdown album, instead it’s the sound of the band coming together, enjoying the simple pleasures of each others creative and personal company again, and to write, self-record and produce in a 70s mud-brick house 2 hours north of Melbourne. In this house, which is featured on the album cover, the 12 songs of ‘Endless Rooms’ took shape, permeating the spirit of the place, the band describe the album as “almost an anti-concept album”.
Alongside ‘Endless Rooms’, Rolling Blackouts C.F. are releasing the album’s titanic lead single ‘The Way It Shatters’ accompanied with a Groundhog Day-esque music video, which also features their album writing hub, the lakeside house. ‘The Way It Shatters’ features a catchy chorus and elements that replicate their second album, with a different disposition that can be expected from the rest of the quintet’s third album.
They also have a massive UK and Europe tour in May and June, with Stella Donnelly opening. Starting in sunny beach city Brighton, and ending surrounded by water in Amsterdam, with stops along the way at Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Primavera Sound.
