Skating Polly have announced their new album, and first ever UK release, ‘The Big Fit’ for release on April 8th via Chap Stereo Records.

The stepsister duo Peyton Bighorse and Kelli Mayo have been making music together for 6 years (since they were 9 and 14 years old). Their music is raw, full of energy and the definition of real.

‘The Big Fit’ is their most fully realized collection of head-bopping, not quite sugar-sweet pop music infused with visceral, distortion-drenched punk sounds.

Their songs fluctuate in tone and intensity; a whisper, a scream, a piano ballad right next to a punk punch in the throat.  It’s all very “ugly pop,” as they like to point out.

The single and album opener ‘Oddie Moore’ is a very personal song to Peyton explaining “Every single word means so much to me, and now it feels almost like I’m throwing my journals out for anyone to read… While I’m excited for everyone to hear it, it’s still a little terrifying putting it out there.”

‘Oddie Moore’ continues the vibrant punk sound that Skating Polly bring to their music sprinkled in raw punk attitude.
