The Canadian indie outfit recently dropped the single ‘Let You Down’, taken from the ‘Through Waves’ EP.
It’s a shimmering shoegaze release that is layered in sultry vocals and jangly guitars. The track takes several shifts in momentum and tone, creating an intriguing listen. It offers an exciting journey that has surprise around every corner. Although there is much to take in their sound is never overwhelming or convoluted.
Swiims may have a sound that is remiscent of Pixies and Slowdive but they maintain a level of freshness. This release is very much their own and puts a patent on their sound.
