Newcastle product Swine Tax Has flown out the gates with a museful and current single. The tight knit foursome has come together and birthed a track with a message on technology that is very poignent.

‘Screensaver’ is a fierce, zealous and on coming tune that brings itself to light from get go with a slamming drum progression, intrinsic and riff rolling guitar, whirling synth, and a punky vocal shouting truths about unwelcomed loneliness due to technology. “Many of us are gawping at screens all day, slowly going insane and totally reliant on technology to communicate.” Due to the pandemic is this reality and rightfully thought to be a ‘widespread feeling’ among society.

The Rock/Post Punk/Alternative foursome has had the chance to share the stage with the likes of BODEGA, Sorry, and The Futureheads. The band also played several U.K festivals and impressively, ventured on a European tour. Ending with the Motel Mozaique festival in Rotterdam. There, excitingly, they joining musical forces with Fontaines D.C and Black Midi. ‘Swine Tax’ has also impressed BBC Music by being chosen as one of BBC Introducing NE’s top tips for 2020.
