New Zealand indie rock band, The Beths, have announced a deluxe edition of their 2022 album ‘Expert In A Dying Field’, out on 15th September

The album will include three demos, two acoustic renditions, and the inclusion of previously shared standalone singles ‘A Real Thing‘ and ‘Watching The Credits‘. Alongside the announcement of the deluxe album, the band have released the acoustic version of their track I Told You That I Was Afraid.

Lead vocalist Elizabeth Stokes’ vocals are both soft and strong. There is a softness that goes alongside the use of the guitar but she doesn’t shy away from the stripped back feel of the version, holding the listener in her hands and with her voice.

For an acoustic track it is unusually fast-paced, which certainly sums up The Beths. Not one to do anything that could be considered as following the norm, the indie rock band stick to their distinctive sound even when they’ve stripped it back and slowed it down (to a certain degree).

The Beths will take to the UK for a string of select festivals and headline dates later this month.
