Doncaster trio The Blinders are in with their third single lifted from upcoming third album ‘Fantasies Of A Stay At Home Psychopath’ to be released July 17th. Taking experience into this next step, the release could be a huge moment for the troupe.
Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and John Lennon are just a few influences of The Blinders. This is apparent in their new single ‘Mule Track’ antagonistic guitar commands the track alongside a harsh and dark vocal. Speaking of how hell and heaven exist on earth. “It’s rejecting the simplistic notion or stereotype that heaven is above, hell is below and we all operate in this middle layer with the aim being to get to the higher level.” Also, ‘Mule Track’ has been added to the Punk List, All New Rock, New Noise, and The Rock List Spotify playlists.
The band is set to embark on a UK headline tour in September (The dates have been rescheduled from their original dates in May). Including shows in Leicester, Preston, Hull, Edinburgh, Southampton, and most impressively, a slot in London’s’ well-known 100 club. Amid the current global situation, The Blinders look to infuse some energy into this somewhat grim 2020 with their outspoken opinions in this stimulating new album. The blinders are certainly one to watch in the future.
