The Atlanta based riotous three piece The Coathangers have announced news of their sixth LP ‘The Devil You Know’, released March 8th via Suicide Squeeze Records. After the positive experience with their previous release ‘Nosebleed Weekend’ the band returned to Valentine Recording Studios in Laurel Canyon with Nic Jodoin, who pushed them into increasingly layered and lush sonic territories.

For the past 12 years The Coathangers have been tickling us with their pulsing punk rock sound and ‘The Devil You Know’ is know exception. We get a taste of what is to come from the latest single ‘Bimbo’, a slightly more dream-pop experience than usual but it still carries the same raw, biting attitude.

Speaking on the new single guitarist/vocalist Julia Kugel explains “Bimbo” is a bittersweet note on love, self preservation, and letting go. It came together naturally and was one of the easiest songs to be written for the new record. It tells two sides of the story but still feels uplifting and positive. An acceptance of things the way they are.”
