As if it wasn’t already exciting enough to be a Thee MVPs fan with the release of their previous single ‘Ship Episode/Planet Episode’, they’ve come out with the thumping second single ‘A Song For Councillor’.
Opening solely with percussion it quickly descends into that classic MVP chaos. Blurting vocals backed by hook heavy riff bursts through, it’s totally contagious. Especially the background chanting that leads you to the chasm of riffs. It carries similarities with Coachwhips and Thee Oh Sees yet remains very much a recognisable body of work from Thee MVPs.
‘A Song For Councillor’ is the second single from the bands forthcoming album ‘Science Fiction’. Out May 29th via EEasy Records.
