The latest project from Durham, NC pianist Tom Merrigan is a wave of Americana rock that is layered in groove. Their sound carries similarities to the likes of The Raconteurs with a touch of The Beatles.

Recently they shared a live recording of ‘Bottle Green Room’, a delightfully infectious piano driven number. The track opens up with hollow percussion that is quickly shadowed by the piano, creating a wide soundscape. The introduction of the brass within the fills creates a movie like atmosphere, dabbling near noir-esque. It all comes to a chaotic head as the percussion kicks things up a notch, inviting the other instruments to find their wild side.
