It’s not often you hear a track that blends such a large variety if genres yet doesn’t remain convoluted or confusing. The latest track from Ulysses Wells is a shining example of that, a track that plucks the best bits from a variety of sounds, yet isn’t insulting to the ears. ‘Back With The People’ is a barrage of rock infused riffs similar to the creativity of Jack White. Through the track we hear elements of electronica, rock, psychedlia and even blues. It’s a dizzying yet exciting experience and is guaranteed to grab your attention.
This is hopefully the first of many releases we get to hear from the Oxford based artist this year. No doubt he will continue to build on his reputation as an exciting and fresh musician.
