The indie-surf rock outfit from the Isle Of Man first caught our attention with their previous single ‘Yesterday’s Jam’.
Now they return with ridiculously infectious ‘Backyard Wrestling’. It’s a sweet sounding, shimmering surf rock track that is lead by swirling, fuzzed out guitars and power-pop vocals. Imagine the surf rock vibe of FIDLAR but with more upbeat energy.
Lyrically the track tackles the struggles of chasing your dreams and ambitions, an extremely relatable track considering the current climate of the world. However, the band remain sonically positive.
If Voodoo Bandits keep pumping out bangers like this they’ll be huge in no time.
