bar italia’s latest single ‘Cowbella’ is a fuzzy and introspective dissection of success and fame
The London trio bar italia are back with their latest single ‘Cowbella.’
Sardonic, explosive and wiry, the track is dripping with fuzzy baselines and guitar licks that make you want to move.
This is the first we’ve heard from bar italia since their 2024 EP ‘The Tw*ts‘, but the single has been paired with a whacky music video as well as a slew of tour dates – including a sold out show at 93 Feet East in London!
‘Cowbella‘ seems to dissect the band’s rise to success in a very meta fashion with lyrics that ask us, and perhaps themselves, about the cons of fame in the music industry. Vocals flip between members Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton as they ask ‘Got a lotta friends but how many like you?’ and ‘Can a broken record make a sound?’
Bar italia are heading on a major tour this Autumn with stops including Milan, Barcelona, Paris, New York and Toronto.Tickets go on sale today June 20th at 10am so be sure to grab a ticket while you can.
