London indie-rockers bar italia continue their run of singles from their upcoming fifth record, ‘Some Like It Hot’, with ‘rooster’
Raw and off the cuff like any other bar italia release, ‘rooster’ is jammed full of screaming guitars, a healthy dose of hi hats and that signature independent, lofi, garage feel the band have always had – making the high quality of the Simon Mercer directed music video feel slightly weird, but welcome!
An almost six-minute epic adventure without losing the blood, sweat and tears of their gritty, DIY, London underground indie-rock sound – ‘rooster’ completes a trio of singles following ‘Cowbella’ and ‘Fundraiser’, released earlier this year, spiking further interest in their upcoming album with three stellar tracks.
With a fifth full length on the horizon and huge gigs at venues such as London’s iconic Roundhouse, alongside a worldwide headline tour, bar italia still sound fresh and imaginative without ever losing their grassroots sound. Nina Cristante’s brash and bold vocal style still sounds stunningly eerie over a grating guitar wall, creating a raucous, rock ‘n’ roll rooster.
