Pop country star CMAT releases second single ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’ from upcoming album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’

Following on from the exciting first single of COUNTRY sensation CMAT’s third album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’, comes ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me‘. This track is a soft earworm that explores sex appeal and commercial attractiveness, with the Irish singer’s charm on full display while she toys with her own ideas of body image and beauty.

When CMAT started performing on larger festival stages, namely BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, she was criticised for her appearance to such an extent that some videos of her performance had to have their comments turned off. This was the primary inspiration behind the song: to criticise the stereotypical and commercial idea of beauty that has manifested in today’s culture. Alongside this, she aims to be a positive role model to her younger or more impressionable fans and wants this track to encourage more positive ideas of beauty, a feat that is very admirable.

Take A Sexy Picture Of Me‘ exemplifies CMAT’s gentle but energetic folk instrumentation from the very sexy CMAT band, but still focuses on her incredible voice and charismatic presentation that keeps you listening to her beautifully crafted lyrics.

CMAT’s new album is set to release on August 29th and is accompanied by an extensive European tour and North American tour; it’s time to get excited to see what this Irish pop star has next in her discography.
