LEGSS latest single 909 is an explosive piece of punk rock ahead of debut album release ‘Unreal’ out September 12th

London-based genre-fusing art rock outfit LEGSS just released their punching new single ‘909’, foreboding the release of their debut album, ‘Unreal’, which is due for release on the 12th of September. On this boundary-pushing release the band share their thoughts on talk-radio, it showcases their talent of finding the melodrama in the banal.

909’ shakes and rambles and plays with influences taken from punk and rock, and introduces an act ready to escape the box they’ve been put in. LEGSS need to be freed and on ‘909’ bring a frantic sound that pleads for their freedom, sounding erratic yet relatable, as if they are living in our own heads, screaming the words we’ve so far been unable to find. On this explosive piece of punk rock, the band said; “it’s a song that has developed with us and been rewritten at every stage, and now it’s in its final form: a stark, cubist, bass-driven day in the life of a nine-to-fiver addicted to radio podcasts.”

The Londoners are known for their merging of intricate guitars with disquieting monologues and rhythm sections that are both technical and madly unruly. The album, ‘Unreal’, is promising to offer more of this kicking against the shin of modern day society and it’s something we can’t wait to unravel. The four piece are heading out on tour in October, celebrating the release of their debut, with shows in Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh among many others coming up.
