Sign up for the Boardmasters 2024 day tickets presale to get access 24hr before anyone else, guaranteeing your place at the Cornish festival
After unveiling the festivals third headliner, Sam Fender, they come bursting out the gate with the announcement of their day tickets presale. In addition to this, they’ve also announced 14 new Cornish coach routes for day ticket holders for 2024 in partnership with Big Green Coach, commiting to the festival’s environmental pledges.
Sustainability and an awareness of the festival’s impact on the local environment and community have been part of Boardmasters’ ethos since the very beginning. As the festival continues to expand the measures in place to reduce its carbon footprint, as well as impact on its neighbours, Boardmasters will be introducing changes to Day Ticket holder travel this year through greener options. This includes the introduction of new direct coach routes from across the county and SW region in partnership with Big Green Coach. The car park for day ticket holders has been replaced by new options, too.
Big Green Coach said, “We love to listen to our audience and it’s become clear that people in Cornwall need dedicated, sustainable, affordable and hassle free day travel options. We are delighted to be making the event more accessible for the local communities, in addition to taking pressure off the local roads. Each full coach takes approximately a quarter mile of potential traffic congestion from the roads.”
Festival goers can book a DAY + COACH PACKAGE with 14 new pick ups from across the South West. Attendees will be dropped off at the festival before the music starts and get picked up after the headliners finish. Choose from Bodmin, Cornwall Services, Exeter, Falmouth, Helston, Launceston, Liskeard, Okehampton, Penzance, Plymouth, Roche, St Austell, Treverbyn and Truro. With drop off right at the entrance gate to the festival, this carbon neutral option helps Boardmasters in its pledge to Leave Only Footprints.
Boardmasters 2024 will also have a new park and ride option just off the A30 before arriving in Newquay. Attendees can either get dropped off at the Park and Ride or park their car there. Buses to the festival and back will be running from early in the morning until after the music finishes. A return journey will cost £7 and attendees can simply tap their cards to pay before boarding the bus. Parking for the day will be an additional £10. With direct travel to the festival, the journey to site takes approx. 15-20 minutes and will help reduce congestion in the local area.
As always, there will be shuttle busses running from Newquay to the festival site, costing only £3.50 for a single journey.
What has already been the fastest selling Boardmasters on record with camping tickets flying out in record time, day tickets are likely to follow a similar trajectory. Boardmasters (and CLUNK) advises fans to get ready by signing up to the day tickets pre-sale, giving fans exclusive 24h access on tickets, to avoid missing out. Record numbers have signed up for the pre-sale with demand at an all-time high. Pre-sale sign up closes at midnight on 28th February via www.boardmasters.com.
