With their new album out now and headline tour coming up soon, ‘Greasy Boy’ is a summery indie anthem
Like if Brit-Pop’s Blur and post-punk darlings shame met in a writing room, ‘Greasy Boy’ is peak summery indie laced with moments of hunger. Name deceptively dark, the vibe is unavoidably head-bopping and melody instantly hum-along-able.
The lyrics are somewhat in opposition to the rest of the track, the mild unease adding interest, if not a little confusion. The chorus descends into an ‘ooh’ section, harmonies and bouncing melodies giving something of an unkempt ode to The Beach Boys – The Greasy Boys, if you will.
Released with Submarine Cat Records as the final single before their new album ‘Make It Up’, ‘Greasy Boy‘ is a fun, moreish single that seems to get better with every play.
FEET have also announced their biggest ever headline tour for this Autumn, and are gearing up to support Psychedelic Porn Crumpets in the UK and Europe this July. Their headline tour sees them join the live CLUNK gang, gracing The Cornish Bank in Falmouth as part of 19 dates across the country.
